Answer to question #1 is yes the posts still count unless the thread is nuked which rarely happens. Recently a thread was hard deleted or nuked as I put it here in the Rubber Room but 99% of deleted threads are soft deleted which means they can be restored and the posts still count to whichever posters made posts in the soft deleted threads.

Sometime I will nuke a brand new thread from a first time poster that rings all kinds of alarms from my virus control software when I open it. Those threads usually contain trojans or viruses and I don't even want them soft deleted, better to destroy the virus ASAP.

Answer to question 2. Rusty James was a ghost. His third post was an attack on a veteran poster:

He used a proxy that matched himself up with about a dozen other proxy users, some who are innocent, so I cannot do the single IP for two posters exposure type of thing.
